Explore acting through song performance. Actors will develop and perfect a musical theater song for performance by finding their connection to the material and bringing forth an honest, emotional experience of that character and the character’s words. Weekly work will include warmups, addressing vocal concerns, song style, audition prep, and song analysis for performance. At the end of the class, students perform in a showcase. Ages 13 and up. Meets Tuesdays 7 to 9 pm. Includes one 30-minute private vocal coaching session.
